Dennis has been a business owner with over 45 years of experience in purchasing, hiring, firing, capital purchases, contract negotiations, proposals, etc.
He graduated from Madison East High School and spent 2 years at UW Madison but had received a full 4 year scholarship from The Rotary Club, (forced to drop out of school before graduating to take care of the family business while my Dad was confined to a hospital bed for months with cancer), lifetime at the College of “Hard Knocks”, completion of a Conflict Resolution Course and a few courses at MATC Electronics courses (for “fun”), Proficient at Microsoft Word and Excel. Developed budgets, proposals, and ROI’s.
Dennis served on his Church Endowment Fund Board for 12 years (6 as President) that oversaw almost $5 million fund. He served as President of the Church Long Range Planning Committee for 10 years, and served on church council for 12 years, Education Wing Addition Project Manager (approximately 16 months from start to completion), Church Property Chairperson for 12 years (Wrote and negotiated contracts for insurance, snowplowing, construction as well as new Climate Control System that saved thousands of dollars in energy costs. Served on Church Council for 11 years, several as VP, Former member of Madison Capital City Scuba Club and Madison Pickleball Club, Served on the Madison College Electronics Advisory Board (Approximately 3 years).
By working in business as long as he has, Dennis is used to working with many different and diverse groups of people, whether it be employees, customers, vendors, family, or organizations. Every one of these groups is very diverse within their own realm. Dennis' business received the MARC (Multi-Agency Resource Center) Stoughton Business Appreciation Award twice for employment of those with disabilities.
