"Getting Down To Business for Rock County"
Meet Dennis
Dennis is running for a seat on the Rock County Board of Supervisors representing the 21st district in order to bring business practices and common-sense solutions to the problems that the county is currently facing. Dennis is a lifelong Wisconsin resident residing in the Town of Janesville with his wife, Lisa. He grew up in Madison where he attended UW Madison majoring in Mechanical Engineering. For the past 32 years, he has been the CEO of his family’s manufacturing business. He knows firsthand the challenges that come with running and growing a small business while navigating market ups and downs and economic recessions. Supporting business is crucial for creating local jobs and opportunities close to home.
Throughout his life, Dennis has been dedicated to giving back. He has served as President of the Covenant Endowment Foundation Board which grants scholarships to youth. He and his wife are also compassionate supporters of animal rescue and advocacy groups.
Dennis regularly attends (and comments) at government meetings. He has been a strong citizen advocate requesting lower taxes and process improvements that increase transparency while lowering costs.
Dennis has been successful in convincing the county to publish required public legal notices on the county website. Previously, these notices were only published in the newspaper and also posted at the county courthouse. The first requires a paid subscription and the second requires you to physically go to the courthouse, which is an inconvenience. Now, people can easily locate all notices on the county website for no additional cost and access them remotely from wherever they may be. By implementing his suggestions for this change, transparency has been improved. This is a win-win solution for the citizens of Rock County.
Why is Dennis Running?
“People over Politics”. Years of unchecked spending and borrowing has been passed down to taxpayers and businesses through increased property taxes. Rock County needs someone with Dennis’ experience and leadership abilities to tackle these challenges that the Rock County Board is currently facing. You’re either part of the problem or part of the solution.
Since Dennis’ opponent was appointed to the board in 2023, property taxes levied by the county has increased by $10.2 million. He has consistently voted in favor of generously giving away your tax dollars for nonessential budget items. In a troubling move, he put forth a 2026 budget amendment that granted employee promotions against the administrator’s recommendation using one-time resources. This undermined the new administrator’s authority and set an undesired precedent for other county department heads.
